"I Didn't Come To Chelsea To Fail" -Andre Villas-Boas

Andre Villas-Boas has conceded he is fighting to keep his job after Chelsea’s nightmare slump.
The Blues have lost four of their last seven games to drop to fifth in the table.
They also face a “life-or-death” battle with Valencia next month for Champions League survival and could end up in the Europa League instead.
Villas-Boas, whose side meet Wolves on Saturday, said: “We have spoken about results – and results in football are key to a manager’s sustainability.
“I have no problem with that. I didn’t come here to be a failure. I came here to be a success.
“Chelsea is a club of high expectations and mine at the moment are negative. There is no running away from that.
“But that doesn’t mean that the present run will continue, or that we don’t have the talent to turn things around.
“At the moment, it is legitimate that people are not happy - from the fans to the media.
"Everybody must do their job and we’re trying to do ours. Nobody wants to change that more than us.”
Villas-Boas said he had received personal backing from Roman Abramovich since the midweek Champions League defeat at Bayer Leverkusen, although he insisted there had been no discussion of potential January transfer targets.
“I have spoken to the owner and he has said that (I will have time),” said the Portuguese, who then added: “My contract is a three-year contract. There was no mention of time.
“We didn’t even touch January. That is not on the agenda or the priority at this moment.”
And Villas-Boas may have further tempted fate by making it clear he would not accept former Blues boss Guus Hiddink - currently available after leaving his job as Turkey coach – being brought into the club in an advisory role.
Asked if he might appreciate advice from a veteran like Hiddink, the 34-year-old said: “I don’t agree with that. I have no comment to make on that question.
“I don’t solve problems on my own. I solve them with my group of people and players and it’s been like that throughout.”
